The Worst Film Ever
If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
Just in case you forgot, this movie started a trend of forced memes. The horror, The horror! OVERALL MOVIE: 3/10 I prefer Mystery Science Theater or Rifftrax better.
This is one of my favorite Disney movies of all time! It's just too awesome. I love how it shows Timon and Pumbaa meeting, the hyenas being the main villains, and shows Timon's family! Max just recently became my top favorite Disney character overall. Like I said in my review for Behind The Legend: Timon, he's such a riot! Plus to me, he is so cute! Timon's Mom is really cute too, and funny. Especially with the hair thing, and nearly squeezing Timon to death. XDAs for the part where Timon proposes to Shenzi as a distraction, Shenzi's reaction cracks me up every time! XD Same with Timon's hyena joke, Pumbaa changing the channel by accident, the "hot tub" scene, a whole lot of scenes crack me up.Plus, there were some moments that are just too cute to me. Such as Shenzi's "And that's just how I like 'em! Scrambled, and a little bit runny." And Max's face when Simba reclaims his place as King. Every time I see it, I just want to hug him! X3I love all the songs too! I get Max's singing stuck in my head. X3
Well they tried something different, but it will probably fail to impress fans of The Lion King. Placing Timon and Pumbaa into earlier events and adding plot points later, just tarnishes the original and even contradicts it. It just seemed like a lot of, sometimes inventive, excuses to make a few cheap jokes. At least they managed to get back the majority of the original voice cast, but to imagine Pumbaa's fart caused the bowing at the beginning of the original is actually kind of annoying. By the end it is obvious that the makers were favoring parody, but these two work best as co-stars, and comic relief, rather than the heroes of the movie.
I am 18, and I absolutely adore the first Lion King film. It is gorgeously animated, has terrific music, likable characters and makes me laugh and cry, in short, like Beauty and the Beast and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs The Lion King is an animated masterpiece. Judging by the fact that I liked Simbas's Pride, not loved, just liked, I watched The Lion King 1.5. It is not a bad sequel at all, like Simbas's Pride it is not as good as the original, but I think like the second it is one of the better sequels. It does have its problems, it is too short(then again this is a problem most of the sequels have), some of the story, the Lion King but in Timon and Pumbaa's perspective is predictable but it is a great concept and there are a few parts such as the ending that felt a tad rushed. However, it is vibrantly animated, the music is very good, there are some surprisingly funny jokes(like Timon and Pumbaa's stalling during the climax), the dialogue is well written and hilarious and the voice acting is very well done. Overall, a fun, cute and entertaining, if inferior, sequel. 7/10 Bethany Cox
