Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda are all married now, but they're still up for a little fun in the sun. When Samantha gets the chance to visit one of the most extravagant vacation destinations on the planet and offers to bring them all along, they surmise that a women-only retreat may be the perfect excuse to eschew their responsibilities and remember what life was like before they decided to settle down.

To me, this movie is perfection.
Slow pace in the most part of the movie.
A lot of fun.
There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
This probably takes the spot for number one most awful film away from Tango and Cash. I feel like I was robbed of 3 hours. Carrie is a whiny, unsatisfied, typical Jewish princess when her husband gets a TV for their anniversary and she tells him she would rather have jewelry. She is looking old and stupid in the fashions. The black hat she wore to the wedding made her look like Cruella from 101 Dalmatians. And the blue hat on the plane made her look like a revolving appetizer plate from a Mexican Restaurant. Samantha is just disgusting. She needed to be douched with Lysol years ago but now she is just an old "whore". Miranda and Steve were great and Charlotte, burdened with two kids, had the best and only good line in the film. When she thought her husband may take off with the Nanny, she thought, "Oh no, I can't loose the Nanny." There was a very thin story line filled with ridiculous situations that were so over the top suspension of disbelief was impossible. It was pitiful and the old ABC after school playhouse movies were written and executed better. It reminded me of the plot-less series called the Monkees back in the 60's. Mindless, gratuitous, convoluted, idiocy. It was just on TV. If I paid money to watch it I would demand a refund. Terrible movie. Just terrible. Boring. Ridiculous. And if you ever liked Carrie or Samantha you might hate them after watching this.
The only thing good about this movie were the beautiful costumes/outfits. Otherwise, I am still trying to figure out why this movie was even made. I watched it once and I refuse to watch it again because in my mind, I like to pretend it never happened. I prefer to think of SATC finally ending with the 1st movie. This was like a bad dream. While watching this, I felt that everything we grew to love about these women was a lie. This movie was a waste of time and money. If the writers and creators thought it was good enough to satisfy the fans constant request demanding more, they were wrong. If this mess was made to make fans stop begging for more, I think it worked!
I do not care, I really don't, how much SJP got paid to participate and crawl into this pool of refuse neck-deep. She did not even try to swim in it. And she took others along for a dip in the muck. The opening ceremony is gratuitous, the heck, every scene is gratuitous. The characters have no character, the plot has no story, the outfits have no stylist and the movie apparently had no director either.Everything is so outlandishly disjointed I beg to differ it is an alternative, science fiction picture set in a post-modern surrealist fantasy. It isn't. I tried not to cringe through it and even started drinking half-way through, didn't help either. It is dumber than EU directives. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all cost. It is astonishingly bad.
I have such high regard for Carrie. I just recently started watching the series and it certainly has grown on me. However, this movie was torture. It was simply horrendous. I have been to the middle east and trust me, no one over there is as extreme as they portray them to be in the movie. Of course, if you go around behaving like Samantha, i mean, that's enough to make anyone go a little crazy. The movie starts with no promise and constantly drops in quality from there on. The screenplay and story line was atrocious. The characters, don't get me started. I understand that movies are all about exaggeration and drama queens but this was a tad over the top even for fiction.I cant believe i wasted 2 hours of my day sitting through the entire thing. I seriously hope there isn't a 3rd part.
