As Good As It Gets
I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
The worst, animated movie I've watched the Ninjago series is almost full of new things that have not been added to the series scenarios are so miserable I have nothing to describe the only thing that is good is the 3D animations are modern They look very nice maybe the animations are best for 2017. This is really not worth watching, skip because the movie is stupid One small positive thing is that the voice of WU is Jackie Chan.
A boy walks into an antique shop where the owner (Jackie Chan) shows the kid some special Lego figures and tells him about the story of Ninjago. The city of Ninjago is under constant threat from the evil Garmadon and the powerful Meowthra. Their only defense is the six ninjas in their secret identities. Garmadon's son Lloyd lives his mother in Ninjago. He's estranged from his evil father but the public still treats him with fear and derision. Unknown to them, Lloyd is actually the Green Ninja as one of the six protecting the city under the leadership of Master Wu (Jackie Chan), Garmadon's brother.Like most of the public, I'm not familiar with Ninjago. That holds me back with this movie and quite frankly, it holds the general public back. As such, this needs to be an origin story. I can see a simple origin story for bullied loner teen Lloyd being recruited into his uncle's secret force. He could train and find friendship in his new activity. By throwing movie into full speed from the start, it's a tough way to find rooting interest in the characters. Everything is fine but without that emotional investment, the movie is not as compelling.
Pretty good lighthearted family friendly animated adventure, not as good as the original "Lego movie" or the "Lego Batman movie" but not bad!
After seeing the success of The Lego Movie and The Lego Batman Movie, You would surely think the Lego Ninjago movie would be just as good.....well not really. First off, Unlike the first two films this film just felt more like a big toy commercial instead of being an actual movie. The story basically copies the formula of what The Lego Movie had and it backfired. While it did have some cool action scenes in the beginning the whole thing starts to come apart piece by piece afterwards and just can't recover. The Lego franchise would eventually have a film that would leave a dent in it's armor and Ninjago is the Weakest Link...Goodbye
