As a hardcore fan of the game series (I own and have played all games, dlc, various collectables, etc.) I was so excited for this reboot. The rebooted games were insanely good. So good in fact, that I have played through the games in excess of 5 or 6 times. But this movie? I regret watching it. Let me first say this: Alicia Vikander was a SOLID choice for the role. She could have been so much more if the writers hadn't completely destroyed the story. While I realize that you can't fit everything into a movie adaptation, I expect that at least the story won't be completely butchered. If you are a fan of the tomb raider series, don't waste your time on this. You will walk away angry.
