The Hypnotic Ring
November. 29,2011Michael Emerson (David Lee) is a henpecked husband who lives with a controlling wife, Phyllis (Debbie D) and is divorced from his first wife, Samantha (Laura Giglio) who took him to the cleaners in their divorce. His only solace is the beautiful barmaid, Isabelle (Tracey Lixx) who loves him. At work, Mike finds a mysterious ring left at his desk by an unknown benefactor. The ring gives him the power to control anyone to do exactly what he wants. And he uses its power to get his revenge on both his wife and ex-wife. He forces both of them to indulge his foot fetish and to behave like lapdogs at his feet. In addition, he forces his ex-wife to soak herself with a hose while watering her garden and leaves her wondering what happened. And then he commands both of them to commit suicide.

A Brilliant Conflict
There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.
It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.
