Ian Levine: Downtime Redux
November. 18,2013An extended version of the 1995 film, 'Downtime', filmed in July 2011 and starring Sylvester McCoy. Created for Ian Levine's personal use, he released the opening two minutes onto YouTube in November 2013. Sylvester McCoy was heavily persuaded not to take part by friends, however agreed when he was paid before filming started. He deeply regrets taking part, as it was low-budget and he had to read his lines from cue cards.
Reviews
An action-packed slog
There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
