Shoko, a married woman, works in a hospital as a nurse. One day, one of the patients happens to meet an old boyfriend, Tagawa. Shoko learned from her nurse that Tagawa is terminal cancer and can only live for 3 months. However, I couldn't tell Tagawa, so I don't know. The hospital says to give up treatment and just go home. A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
