Ingrid Fuzjko Hemming had many ups and downs and experienced moments no one should endure, but never stopped reaching higher and higher to become the musician she (and her mother) wanted her to become. Traveling the world and having one foot in either of two worlds, Hemming's ultimate agony arrives with the loss of her hearing.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
