Job Kribbe is the first clown in six generations who is not by nature funny. In his search for the reason why he follows a path that takes him from one story to the next, visiting cities lijke Moscow, Paris, London, Hollywood, Berlin and finally Zwanowice. On the road he meets many figures like Napoleon, Buster Keaton and the Dutch queen Wilhelmina.

I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
