The story of Jadav Payeng, an Indian man who single-handedly planted nearly 1400 acres of forest to save his island, Majuli.

Wonderful character development!
Very well executed
It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
The documentary,Forest Man, has a lot of dialog and not so action packed but i liked how he was helping the environment and the animals. The story was about a man who made a forest by him self from scratch with his bare hands. he is from India. the forest is bigger then Central Park.
Forrest Man is a inspiring documentary about an Indian local who planted an entire Forrest in an Indian barren waste land. Jadav Payeng Has been planting since 1976 and his Forrest is now larger than central park. This documentary details the importance of the environment and that our Earths natural resources will not be here forever so we have to protect them. I would highly recommend this film to all ages and genders.
Forest man is an inspiring story. Forest man is about a man named Jadab Payeng who started planting trees in an deserted area. Through the film it shows great, long camera shots of the forest and its beauty. The film was at a slow pace which resembled how slow the process of planting the trees was. There isn't much information about the people in the film but there is enough to show how much of a caring person forest man is to plant a forest to help his land and how far he will go to protect it. I was really emotionally connected to this amazing film. I would defiantly recommend this film to watch.
"Forest Man" is a Canadian documentary short film from 2013, so this one will have its 5th anniversary next year. It is until now the most known work by relatively young writer and director William Douglas McMaster. I watched the version the filmmaker uploaded on Youtube that only runs for 16.5 minutes and not for 23 as it says here on IMDb. Anyway, this is the story of an Indian man who planted many trees in favor of the environment on his little island. That's basically the core of it all really. Nice nature recordings, a soothing soundtrack and a couple interviews are all there is to this one here. It's a nice little movie in terms of the environment and you could categorize it as a film about everyday heroes, a subject people love referring to in films. Sadly, the way this was made is perhaps not as outstanding as the person depicted in here and the consequence is a relatively mediocre outcome overall. But thanks to the noble cause I still give it a thumbs-up while adding that it is not as good as it could have been, even if admittedly that's also quite a challenge at this runtime especially.
