Slaney Studios first LGBT themed short film. This 20 minute short depicts the unique and gentle love story of Mark and Charlie. They meet every day for a walk and fall deeply in love. When Mark's father finds out about their relationship everything begins to fall apart. This film stars Jiayue Chi (The Bridge's Li Xiu) and Sean Norton (Debut with Slaney Studios). In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
