Lack of good storyline.
Boring, over-political, tech fuzed mess
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.
For three years Don Giuseppe (Pino) Puglisi was the Parish of Brancaccio district of Palermo. He was murdered on his 56th birthday on September 15th,1993 by Mafia killers. Don Puglisi fought actively the social environment where Mafia grows and flourishes. He founded and ran a Center for the children and the teenagers, giving them both an alternative to their native environment and a way to escape to Mafia enrollment. The movie style is grave and severe, the protagonist is at the same time loving and rough.Director Roberto Faenza and actor Luca Zingaretti are perfect for a perfect movie. I wish to recommend to see both "Alla luce del sole" and "I cento passi" (aka "The one-hundred steps") by Marco Tullio Giordana, another excellent movie on the Mafia subject.
