Pierre Henry is not dead
Pierre Henry is not dead
A pioneer of electronic music, Pierre Henry (1927-2017) has, since the 1950s, alongside Pierre Schaeffer, laid the foundations of what characterizes the music of our time. At the time, everything had to be invented: the sounds, the tools to manipulate them, the ways of broadcasting them. He influenced the pop music of the 1960s and 1970s, from the Beatles to Pink Floyd, and up to the DJs of the 1990s. He is the author of an absolute hit: the electronic jerks composed with Michel Colombier for the 'Messe pour present time' created by Maurice Béjart in 1967. But above all he is the creator of a prolific work, from the end of the 1940s to the 2010s, where pure and incredible sound experiences coexist with musical settings of texts to constitute mock operas of a new genre. Thanks to often unpublished documents, this documentary invites us to listen to Pierre Henry tell us about his journey and above all to listen to his music, one of the most innovative of the 20th century.

València, t'estime
A look at the LGBT history of Valencia (Spain) from the 1970s to the early 2000s, a crucial era where a explosion of desire for freedom and the exploration of sexuality marked the beginning of the egalitarian struggle for queer rights. The film showcases testimonies that marked a before and after in the Valencian struggle, and unites activists, historical figures, drag queens, businesspeople and historians to shape a unique yet still unknown history, as well as countless of unpublished archival footage that will get us into a city that proved to be open and plural — The first demonstrations, homophobic assaults, the Brigada 26, the origins of Moviment d'Alliberament Gai del Pais Valencià and Lambda, nightlife venues and cabarets, the trans struggle, the HIV/AIDS outbreak, the first gay bookstore in the city, the first regional lesbian collective; these are some of the topics that tell a universal struggle: to be able to be free and love whoever you want without fear.

Dancing Palestine
Dancing Palestine
As the Palestinian identity continues to be threatened with violent erasure, young Palestinians turn to their folk dance, the dabke, to assert their existence. From its humble beginnings as a worker’s dance, the dabke has come to represent an evolving history of cultural resistance, and is needed now more than ever. Dancing Palestine is a document of this embodiment of collective memory – as those who piece together a dabke choreography also piece together their identities. Together with the film – a performance in itself – the dabke is a testament to Palestinians’ deep love of life and an insistent act of contribution to the archive of Palestine in the present.

Farsi seme
Farsi seme
“Farsi seme is silent. Silent like the plants that surround us. Silent like the seeds that I began to collect in places where I would go for a walk. Collecting blood, collecting seeds. The power of seeds represented the intersection of solidarity and singularity: it wasn’t only a no-longer-being-a-flower. There was a multiplicity of forms, a lushness, the intricate delicacy of their forms… I thought of translating venous and menstrual bloods into two different natural pigments, hematite and rubia tinctorum”. Wir waren in der AfD - Aussteiger berichten
Wir waren in der AfD - Aussteiger berichten
The AfD, founded in 2013, is a right-wing party that has become increasingly radicalized in recent years. To illustrate this, only those who enthusiastically joined the party in its early years are heard. They describe what they looked for and found in the party, but also how and why they left, disillusioned and frightened by the AfD's developments. How did they experience the party's radicalization process? How did friends and family react? When and why did they decide to turn their back on the party? How difficult was the exit process? The documentary provides an illuminating inside view of this party, which has been driving the established parties and the political establishment ahead of it for over ten years, gives viewers a unique look into the AfD's chronicle and world of thought and is at the same time a film about the mechanisms of political radicalization.
