The traditional table is set with beverages, cakes and candy, and the yearly photo taken. Nowadays, they are mothers, aunts and grandmothers. Their fates have changed, but what about themselves?

Interview With a Killer
In 2019 21-year-old Brandon Clark murdered 17-year-old Bianca Devins after an on and off relationship between them. Brandon live streamed the vicious murder and posted images of Bianca’s corpse on the internet. The content went viral and was shared widely throughout multiple social media platforms. Clark pled guilty to the murder of Devins and has since remained silent about why he committed the murder and why he posted the gratuitous and vile images online.
In this one-off documentary, Yinka Bokinni travels to New York State to investigate the murder and the aftermath. In a tense stand-off, Yinka interviews Brandon Clark, the killer in the infamous Attica Prison. It is the first time Clark has spoken to the media as Yinka attempts to find out why he committed the crime, why he posted it online and if he would apologise for his vile actions.

By now she looks back on more than nine decades of life, an old lady who stoically clings to the self-sufficiency of the house where she was born. The place lacks all comfort, neither electricity nor water supply help with cooking or heating. Nonetheless, Suzanne wants for nothing: When the indoor temperature drops to single digits in winter, she simply takes a hot-water bottle to bed and adds another layer of blankets. In the bathroom, water reliably flows from a groove, and if the light hits the surrounding glass carafes, it soon dances through the room.

To leave or to stay? Which direction to run? There's a river beyond the forest, and a bridge beyond it, but you can't see it. In case of heavy fog, try to follow the sounds. This essay-film, shot on a smartphone, attempts to capture the feeling of the 'here and now' at the end of February 2022, and to explore everyday life during the war.
