Kohlhaas or the Proportionality of Means
Deep in the Bavarian countryside Kleist’s historical drama Michael Kohlhaas is being shot. But instead of shooting a huge epic with impressive costumes and extraordinary props, grown-up men in suits fight with imaginary weapons. What has happened? Young director Lehman is fighting for his film, although all funds have been canceled. He’s convinced that the actor’s play and the fantasy of the audience will be sufficient. He fights for his vision as much as Kleist’s Kohlhaas fights for his rights. This film has to be finished. Whatever may come. Even if he has to go too far.

Assaulted: Civil Rights Under Fire
With the original intention of empowering a citizenry's ability to defend themselves against a corrupt or tyrannical government, the concept today may seem farfetched or the makings of a Hollywood blockbuster. However, it has happened throughout U.S. history. And long before gun control was positioned as a "common sense measure" to combat violence, it was used as a means to oppress certain minority groups. Presently, the growing trend in gun control favors the wealthy and privileged, who leverage their connections to ensure their Second Amendment rights and safety, while those of lesser means struggle. Informative and emotionally charged, "Assaulted: Civil Rights Under Fire" is an eye-opening look at the genesis of the Second Amendment to the Constitution, leading the audience to rethink the issues surrounding gun control, and the effect on civil rights and liberty. After all, what you don't know can kill you.

Wisconsin Rising
Wisconsin Rising
Wisconsin Rising documents the largest sustained workers' resistance movement in American history, telling the dramatic story of how the people of Wisconsin occupied the State House and the streets when Republican Governor Scott Walker introduced legislation that stripped state employees of their right to collectively bargain in the workplace, undoing eight decades of basic workers' rights. In 2011 thousands of Wisconsin citizens occupied the State House and the streets surrounding the capitol to protest the stripping of collective bargaining power from Wisconsin's public employees by the Republican-controlled legislature and newly elected governor Scott Walker. Dramatic footage shows more than 10,000 Wisconsinites pouring into the capitol, and Republican Senators fleeing on a secret shuttle. While Republican legislators invented new laws to restrict access by citizens—and even elected officials—to the State House, the occupation persisted.
