The First Sea

One summer morning, Wafaa is preparing for the journey and imagining pretty people in Israel, while Raneen is playing freedom fighter with her friends. Her village is in constant conflict with the Israeli soldiers and for her and her parents it is out of the question to spend a beach day with the "others". Is the day by the sea a one-day utopia? It was recorded at the NEC in Birmingham, England on 27 and 28 November 1988, released on VHS in November 1989, followed by a limited VHS/CD edition in 1994. In 2013, the full concert footage, including encores which were not included on the original VHS, was remastered and reissued on DVD, CD and LP under the new title Maiden England '88, including the "12 Wasred Years" documentary as a bonus DVD disc.

Ice Age Giants
