Op de Scheve Schuit heeft Steven een raar ding meegenomen dat onder een doek zit. Niemand van de piraten heeft het nog gezien. Maar dan komen er rare geluiden vanonder het doekje en begint het te praten. Steven kan het niet langer verhullen en haalt het doekje eraf. En daar zit Lorre... de papegaai van Piraat Roodbaard. Piet wil het niet hebben en vindt dat Lorre de schuit moet verlaten, totdat ze erachter komen dat Lorre misschien wel weet waar de schat van Roodbaard ligt...

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
